My name is Shane Keller. I'm gay but pretend not to be because I'm afraid my friends won't accept me that way. I also threaten to kick their asses routinely, even though they're my friends, I'm woefully out of shape and I'm gay. Also, I'm gay (please don't tell Scott).

Nothing makes him gay, he just is (not that there's anything wrong with that). The posting of e-mails he probably should not have shared with the world makes him an asshole, not gay.
