The first full field event of the WSOP kicked off yesterday with a mere 2,776 entrants in the $1500 NLHE Event. After playing down to 122 players last night, 2001 Main Event Champion, Carlos Mortenson is chip leader with the likes of Devilfish, Seidel, Raymer, the "Sheik", Harman, Gordon and Hellmuth still in the mix. Hellmuth knocked out Clonie, who barely scraped into the money in 243rd place.
